psssst.  There's a live recording of Death Thing Down on youtube,  I was tempted not to watch and save some of the new songs for the actual release...BUT I caved...

it's a real beaut.  the song has been sticking around me for the past few days, I'm really looking forward to hearing the studio version of it.  it's made me think that this could be the closing song with the opening lyric "I was trying to end on a pleasant note"?  I also enjoy the "Jai guru deva om" lyric nod at the end of the song.

thanx!  YOWZA!!!!!

Random, I know, but are there any other Florence + The Machine fans on here?

They're my absolute favorite band, and I've always wondered what Amanda thought of them - so I was happy to hear Amanda went to their concert and said Florence was "transcendent." I think Florence is similar in a way to Amanda, in that they're both interested in putting on a great show and connecting with their audience. I know Florence is on a mainstream label, but at the same time she's certainly not your typical popstar. She really focuses on amazing songwriting, great production, and awesome shows; I hope Amanda noticed that :)

last night Amanda put up a video snippet with Jherek laying down a bass track.
any idea which song?
https://www.instagram.com/stories/amandapalmer/
(this URL likely has a short lifespan (i'm new to Instagram).
if anyone can add an absolute URL good "forever", please do!
i would also appreciate knowing how to find one.)
pretty sure it was Look Mummy? think i heard her singing that line when they were recording bass
ALSO, in her State of Things, she confirmed that TTAT and BOTI will have piano! :)

thanx!!!
