There are loads of ways to get around region coding on PCs. I'd be surprised if you really couldn't.

if Im not wrong, it even dont exist on linux. since there's no support among the authoring labs for DVD-Film on Linux (really complicate story. deserves a dedicate post), the libdvdread (the libraries needed to watch dvd films on linux) already decript them and thus no region limit. but, Im not 100% sure... eventhough, Im about to change my drive firmware, just waiting the warrent to expire.

cheers!

it's so beautiful. i watched it with my friend and i was a little bit high and she was really high so when we watched delilah, the part where that lady who was screaming just scared her. and then she started screaming along with her as her dogs barked wildy at her. but the Mandy Goes to Med School solo part left my speechless. I'm a little bit jealous of amanda. just a little tiny bit. and then for the rest of the week until today I just kept watching it. well, i actually bought it last week. on Saturday July 14, 2007 at around 3:55 pm.

I got mine sunday 15 so i think its good enough, the dvd is really great i am not dissapointed, could someone tell me if it sounds better in 5.1 audio? cause the PCM is good but not good enough, i love when everybody is singing sing its amazing, and i think that at the end of the song after amanda and brian thank to the audience, the foot hiting the floor is Jason Webley`s foot because its following the rythm as he usually does.

The video can be different. If the disc comes from North America, parts of South America, and most of Asia, it's NTSC. If it's from elsewhere, it's PAL. Most PAL-native equipment can play NTSC discs but the opposite isn't very common.

Anyway, there can be differences depending on who releases it, but assuming the content's meant to be exactly the same, other than region coding and the PAL/NTSC thing, there aren't any significant differences.

could someone tell me if it sounds better in 5.1 audio? cause the PCM is good but not good enough,

Wait, there's a disc with PCM audio? Mine only has Dolby Digital and DTS. I'd like to have a PCM track! Anyway, the DTS track sounds fine. I don't have a surround rig but the audio's clear and all that.

I should go to hell for this but I still find Trash taking the stage dive (Mad World) to  new heights absolutely hilarious.

In my defence I think Amanda laughs too. And it's not like they rushed to pick him up. Ok, I'll stop digging a hole now.

i just watched it for the first time the other night and had to pause and replay to be sure i really did see trash fall off the stage (i was slightly "off balance" myself). they didn't rush to pick him up?

Er....I don't think anyone picked him up. From what I remember.

It wasn't so much as a stumble as a full on intergalactic launch into the darkness. As falls go, it was pretty spectacular. It still gets a hearty guffaw from me. Sorry Trash. O0

Aww ...

Nobody picked him up I think. Somebody told me later that he hurt his back.
Maybe it was that coat, bit impractical in a stumbly sense.

But all in all, a BRILLIANT dvd!

 :occasion5:

his coat....hihi I thought it was running towards the front of the stage rocking away that did it....now you see him....now you....wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....

Hell yeah...great DVD....I haven't got a problem with the lighting or Lene....

and for all the cloth ears out there......TV just isn't TV without surround sound....systems aren't that expensive these days...get a surround sound set, buy the extra bits to use the digital output if you need to, they're not expensive either and listen to this DVD in DTS...or 5.1....

nothing better than hearing the crowd all around you...that was spine tingling....also I'm just a soppy old nostalgic romantic at heart....

PS Amanda swears too much. Wash your mouth out with soap, Mandypams.  :brushteeth:
