Why is there no age info for the NY show?

I emailed the venue:
There should not be any age regulation for the show. You should check back
closer to the day of the event when I will have the event order from the
promoter and can be more specific with you.

In their recent email announcing the tour, Amanda says, "We've obviously fallen prey to the seven-year itch," and Brian says, "Simply put, this is going to be the last jaunt around the ol' tour track for us for quite some time."  Could this be more or less a farewell tour for the Dresden Dolls?

If so, I'm saddened but not totally surprised.  Ms. Palmer from time to time has referred to Mr. Viglione as "my drummer" and now refers to her current musical collaborators as "my new back-up band."  There's nothing wrong with being the lead dog, creatively, and she's never hidden her desire to be the alpha of the band, but I sometimes wonder if her collaborators see themselves in the same way.

Personally, I prefer the spare, theatrical sound of piano and drums that the Dresden Dolls have devised and continue to develop.  It's well-suited to the cabaret format, punk cabaret in particular, and serves to highlight and punctuate Amanda's brilliant lyrics.  At its best, it is simply the most raw nerve and pulse that two paired musicians can create live.  I love the whole concept, the whole presentation.

Better enjoy it while it lasts...

I contemplated this, but decided that I don't think it's the end. Honestly, the thing is that they just simply are working on other things right now. Amanda is producing the album she's always dreamed of, and Brian is working with other bands and becoming the best drummer he can possibly be. The newsletter before last, they mentioned that there are old and new songs that are going to be recorded and released.

In fact, Amanda almost confirmed a third Dolls album in another thread, stating that a song called "Titanic" will probably be on the next Dolls CD. She also said that I Believe in Airplanes and North Chengtu will be performed with Brian. So Amanda has certainly not called it quits for the dolls, because she obviously has many more plans.

The Gardener, the Mouse and the Model, Boston, the Kill, and the Lovers Pt 1 have already been recorded.

The Dolls are not dead.

Well, if that isn't awesomeness in a convenient eight-pack!  I'm relieved and thrilled (and you were right, arm is off!).

I know we m.f.'s get a little proprietary about you and the band, what we want to see you do, etc., but you are truly a class act for showing up publicly and interacting at the shows and on the 'Net the way that you do.  Even fielding critiques.  It's fun to have found a band again and get excited about it as I did when much younger doing college radio.  If I can get my nerve up, I may even risk some reinvolvement in right-brainitude inspired by you two & your collaborating coterie.  Thanks!

So any possibilities that the New Year's Eve show can go until 7 in the morn'?  I'm trying to limit the number of hours my friends and I have to drunkenly wander the streets of NYC and risk getting attacked by other drunken Times Sq. people before catching a train back to where I'm from the next day.

Seriously though, has anyone gone to a DD New Year's show and could let me know what time approx. it ended?
(I know, I know, it'll be different, but I just want to get a sense)

Ok, is there anyone who is going to be at more than one concert?  We are planning on going to Baltimore, Philly, Boston, NY, Chicago and STL.

Just curious if anyone is planning the same thing. If so, I'll be seeing you! ;)
