Whereas the violin - I mean, you could just take that out and go, right? Especially if you could play all those like folky jigs, then you'd be set xD

When I was younger, I played the violin for that very reason. Well, my mum wanted me to play violin for that reason, I can literallly just carry it anywhere and join in with the trad music side of my family or the rock music side. Anyway, it turned out that I was too impatient to learn it, although I regret it a little now.

Not too late....

I am aware, but I don't have the money for lessons, nor do I have the time. Perhaps in a few years.
