Personally, I don't understand all the hype about the iPad. To me it seems just like an Ipod Touch without the ability to fit it in your pocket.

Personally, I don't understand all the hype about the iPad. To me it seems just like an Ipod Touch without the ability to fit it in your pocket.

iPod touch's screen is a bit small for surfing so this one would be great as an internet tool.  In 2-5 years when the iPad is about 200 I'll pick one up

The good news is, I hadn't planned to buy one anyway.  Better just, it's the first-effort;
they'll tweak, redesign and improve and the MAXiPad will be better.

i have absolutely no use for this thing (because i have an iphone) until you can draw on it, and subsequently print said drawing.  or use it as a light board for tracing.  when we have that, i will totally get one.

I can't wait for this thing. I take my macbook everywhere. And I literally mean everywhere. I see the iPad as apple's answer to the netbook. Awesome.

A laptop for me will always be easier to do what I generally do on such devices- type. I can't handle touch pads for longer pieces of writing at all.

That's why you use the bluetooth keyboard, or buy the apple keyboard dock. Using the touch screen as a mouse is still less cumbersome than using the tiny trackpad on a netbook.

So ya buy the super-light, super-flat, no-fuss, no-muss pad computer.....

Then hook it up to a bunch of cumbersome peripherals...
