i think there once was a thread about the austrian jam commercial which used coin operated boy in it, but i cant find it (maybe it was on the old box...), BUT i just saw the new one on tv and thought i'd share for the sake of completeness (at least i THINK it's new, but might also have been on for some time, i haven't watched tv since august). anyway.

i liked that one better! (i don't really like how they incorporate the coin-op boy so literally in the new one...  and the high voice is still weiiirrrrd.) but the jam is really good...

They have changed the song up a few octaves, and the end part of the song fails when they go back to the intro so suddenly.  Hm, i wonder what Amanda thinks about that. I think the newer version of the advert is better than the older one though.

BUMP!

went to the cinema, saw brand new tv ad from the jam brand that has used coin-op boy for years now (and a lot of austrians seem to know the song frong the commercial ;-))

in the new version, it's only piano/instrumental...
and not changed up a whole tone after the intro this time
it is klimt-themed (after the austrian artist gustav klimt whose 150th birthday would be in 2012)
and i find it really cute
