wait before banning him. I saw his name too and looked up on google. It does not look like a spambot.


One of the first results is his YT account: http://www.youtube.com/user/travlersdepot  -- he has added Amanda's channel to his list of favourites a month ago. He also has a twitter account and a Flickr account with the very same name.


I usually look up on Google the account name and/or look up at this webpage: http://www.stopforumspam.com/ - his nickname has no results there. So I avoid reporting non spammer accounts to the moderators.

No results on Google, neither in Stop Spam. I think it is. Also, (s)he registered in Jun. A spammer would have post at least a "hi folks, click on my link".

MOST of the bots that registered "before" never managed even to post.
It seemed like they had the capacity to get around the registration process,
but not the mechanics of posting.

Also, this one's IP is in Russia....  In my book, that's 2.5 strikes all by itself.
Still, I'll leave it to someone else to terminate 'him'...
