You can start with the money thing now, ya know. :> There are a lot of micro-fundraising sites popping up, like FeedTheMuse.net and so forth. If you need $ for a project, equipment, other art-related stuff, you can create a project and start passing the hat around. (I'm about to post a hat-passing thing myself!

I'm not going to lie, and I know this sounds mean, but the part about hoping people will give you money is ridiculous. It looks, to me, that the ONLY reason that you want to be famous is to avoid work, and the easiest way you can see to attempt to do it is through art. This is also known as being lazy. Why not just make art your passion, make art your life? I don't get how someone could want to make art just for fame... Art isn't art unless it involves an artist.. and you can't be an artist unless your love and passion and desire and everything that you can possibly give goes into your art.
Exploiting art for fame is sad and low.
Thats my opinion.
So why not make it so art makes you?

HAHA well i appreciate your passionate oppinion, but your taking this way WAY too seriously, i was just kidding!  of course i don't just expect people to give me money!  plus if i wanted to be rich i'm sure there are ways that would work a lot better than being an artist.  i actually love art- i literally learned to draw before i could walk.  the only reason i wrote that cause i think it's funny.  sorry for getting everyone all fired up all over nothing!
