I had a space-themed 18th birthday, complete with a cut out of captain kirk. I was dressed as Dr. Who.

THAT'S AMAZING.
I debated, for a short time, having a Star Trek themed sweet sixteen, and getting everyone Spock ears. :P

I'm going to a 70s Disco night on saturday - should be a lot of fun.  Still working out what I'm going to wear, but that's the fun part.

I've been to a 60s themed party, a pirates party, a 'sporting icons' party and a masquarade ball.  They were great.

I'd like to have a medieval themed party and a 'famous fictional characters' party.

I'd love to have themed parties but I don't know many people who are into that stuff :( I actually know people who refuse to dress up for HALLOWEEN parties!

I had a 70s theme for my 16th though, we listened to my geeky collection of bowie vinyl, watched the rocky horror picture show and ate retro sweets and 70s cocktails. There were still a couple of people who refused to dress up though and one girl spent the whole party moaning that she hated the music and couldn't we listen to something modern (she wanted the jonas bros or n-dubz).

I'd love either a Cabaret themed party or a masquerade ball though!

Was at a Turban party last night.
I was one of 3 people who actually bothered to wear a turban.

As last night was the season finale of RuPaul's Drag Race, my friend hosted a drag queen party. We each dressed up and donned a drag queen name (I was Vivian Shimmer - we also had Lucky Cheng, Mary Pimpins, Connie Lingus, among others), and we had a quiz about this season of the show during the commercials and a pool for who would be the next drag superstar. Good times.

first saturday in december we have a clown crawl round st kilda, this year there was around 50 clowns stumbling around st kilda making arses of ourselves, its a wonderful tradition.  There is also a group doing huge masquerade balls every 6 months that are fucking brilliant nights out.

I had a Cabaret-themed graduation party, and every year for the past two years we have a House M.D party where we all pick names from a hat to see which character we have to be. Also, we occasionally have a fancy party where we dress up, drink tea and eat finger sandwiches.
I think Comfortable party was my favorite, though.

Goodness, I have too many theme parties, and now that I reflect upon it, they're all based around Tim Burton movies...I need to get more creative.

I'm currently building and making my decorations for a Sleepy Hollow murder mystery. My list of requirements to complete the party goes on and on, but eh, it should all turn out. I just need lots of pumpkins, skulls, heads, ect....And to finish getting the actual murder mystery together....

Tomorrow I hope to find a black cowboy hat for little money.
I have a cowboy party to go to and already have the rest of my outfit.

One time at a party, we decided everyone should take off their pants.

Also:

Mustaschio Bashio - all the guys grow mustaches before the party.
Cheesy dance music party - we only play epically cheesy dance music
open mic party- host an open mc where musician friends/poets/whatever do their thing at some point in the night

I haven't been to a whole lot of theme parties. I do go to a Zombie Pub Crawl. I've wanted to go to the Edwardian Ball but I usually work that day and don't have anything to wear.

I went to a "wear something you never have the chance to wear" party. There's always that ONE outfit in your closet that you never wear because you never have the "right" occasion to wear it. So have a party!
