Hey all! We're plotting the Evelyn Evelyn stage show and need a couple of prop magazines. So we throw it open to you: if you'd like to make a modified cover of any of those lovely publications (or any fancy mag, really), your work could end up featured in the tour! (You'd also get a free package of EE merch.)

Guidelines:

Featuring Evelyn Evelyn
Creative headlines and designs
As realistic as possible
High-res (300 dpi)
Actual size of whatever mag you choose (so we can print and stick it on the cover of an actual copy)

Post your designs here (in low res) by APRIL 8th. We'll notify any winner(s) by April 10th, to get both the high-res file and your design from you.

Can anyone post measurements for these magazines as I don't get any of these here, except Rolling Stone but I don't have a copy and all shops are closed today, and I'd really like to give this a go.

Well I gave it a go. Here's what I threw together (I'm not the greatest with photoshop) They won't be the correct sizes, but once I find out the sizes for the magazines, I can resize them. I might also come back to them and change them.

If you check out the advertising sections of websites for magazines they quite often have a bit where it has the size of ads, including full page ads. So, that'll most likely be the cover size too.

upload the image to an image hoster such as imageshack.us then copy the image code (should end in jpeg or giff) and paste into the reply box (do not use quick reply) then highlight the code you have pasted and click on the image button, which is the one that looks like a picture frame.... the

smily is directly below it

When that happens is it easy to recoup the software? I know Adobe stuff registers uniquely to a specific computer and you usually have to unlink it if you want to install elsewhere. I do worry about a computer failure that prevents me from transfering the software. I worry enough about the potentail problem that I actually keep my photoshop computer off the net

when i moved... my pc which had all my art programs and much of my artwork, did not quite make it....it kind of powers up and makes horrible sounds...no images and no full boot... i am resigned to waiting til i can afford a decent P.C. until then it is all going to be basic photo editing on this laptop

I couldn't sleep so just made another cover.
It's not great and I couldn't find a good quality image of the Paste logo so it's a little rough (might try to fix that tomorrow).
