Wasn't attempted Americanization what killed Torchwood?

I mean, the last season had two note-worthy features:
1 - It was way-American...
2 - It was unwatchable....

I never watched Torchwood which is weird because I love Captain Jack Harkness

You should watch it.*

*... Just pretend that the Daleks attack and kill EVERYONE at the end of the last
episode of season 3, so the show ends there.  YOU have neve seen season 4, so
you can just pretend it never happened.

I feel like I should at some point, but I don't really wanna start a new show. It's just a little too time consuming sometimes

I know that i'm one of the few that isn't bothered by the changes Moffat brought to the show...but i really think he's written some fantastic stories along the way, and created some beautiful characters! And i love how he's feeding our Wholock obsessions... The special fx never really ruin anything for me, and i gotta give credits to the man for his brilliant input on casting the show.

Excellent blog on race and gender in Doctor Who with a really heinous quote from Moffat:

http://www.racialicious.com/2013/06/27/race-and-gender-in-doctor-who-beyond-who-plays-the-doctor/

Quote
“There’s this issue you’re not allowed to discuss: that women are needy. Men can go for longer, more happily, without women. That’s the truth. We don’t, as little boys, play at being married – we try to avoid it for as long as possible. Meanwhile women are out there hunting for husbands. The world is vastly counted in favour of men at every level – except if you live in a civilised country and you’re sort of educated and middle-class, because then you’re almost certainly junior in your relationship and in a state of permanent, crippled apology. Your preferences are routinely mocked. There’s a huge, unfortunate lack of respect for anything male.”

Proves my theory that Moffat is a fucking moron.

Peter Capaldi and Craig Ferguson were in a band together back in the day, Peter was the lead singer.

He's already been a guest of Craig's late-night talk show at least once (there's clips on YouTube), but his next appearance should be fucking EPIC.
