Le Cabaret Grimm featuring conjoined twins?
« on: April 09, 2010, 11:31:47 AM »

There is a new show in Boston called Le Cabaret Grimm that bears some striking similarities to our own Evelyn Evelyn according to the Metro: http://bit.ly/c2sTYo Coincidence? Or are the twins moonlighting in another show?

Le Cabaret Grimm

Dresden Dolls may be disbanded but punk cabaret lives on. This show throws Grimm's fairytales into the ethos' melting pot, and it fits perfectly... Each show promises.."sexy girl and boys, conjoined twins, demons, and talking chickens."

More description here. No mention of the Dolls but does bring up Donkey Show and Sleep No More:

I'm actually stage managing this show. Total coincidence. The show was originally conceived in 2007/2008. The Artistic Director/Playwright for this piece is a great fan of the dolls, as well as the idea of Punk Cabaret.

It sounds amazing and I hope to see it. Maybe you can give AFP some tips on her show. Viva le punk cabaret!

It's really a lot of fun. Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys are opening for us this week (and a bunch of other excellent performers). It's just super entertaining, not pretentious....I've had a really kick ass time working with the company and seeing it take shape. All of the actors and crew are very talented. The conjoined twins are Harriet and Belinda. They are not very nice girls. :)

Our twins are very, very different from the good natured and shy Evelyn Evelyn. :)

Haha, true true.
For certain things it rules, but for new "cultural" things it sucks.
I should start something myself ;p
