thoughts:

1st song - lovin' the verses and the bridge, but the chorus is made of suck. Not completely - the words and vocal melody are good - but going up to the relative major is one of the biggest cliches in pop music. Sometimes it still works despite its predictability. This ain't one of those times.

2nd song - good song to end a live set with, but it's going to be a bit drab for someone listening at home. Love the way they end it, though.

overall: the frontline's voices blend together well, and that's always a huge plus. for my taste, though, the biggest problem is the drummer. it literally feels like he can't keep up with them and that he's a drag on the forward momentum of the songs. also, his approach to the kit is too monochromatic. i'm not saying he has to get a Rush-size kit (he doesn't), just that he has to make far better use of the kit he has.

...well, there you have it.

Grazie. Hell, it ain't my band, I just needed a neutral place for discussion of those songs.
