    • That never talking thing you do is effective.

i dont know...i'm sure they'll play together in the future. i'm honestly still hoping they'll make another record together-- i think they will one day, but no one knows how long that will be.
I hope it's before I get too elderly to go see them,
i'm three decades older than they are.
my death or infirmity may happen before then.

i am much sadder for those who have never experienced the
d.dolls live,
the videos and albums are pale. soundless. and soulless
in comparison
Ah!
Feel sorry for me.

Until I went to the first AFP show I was oblivious to how good live music could actually be. It’s a sure thing that I missed something really good by not getting into DD a few months earlier. Every other sizeable band I’ve seen live has always been slightly anticlimactic to watch even if they did put on quite a good show.

I’d really like to see DD live but, given the situation, perhaps I’m a little fortunate in not knowing quite what I’m missing… Or am I?

Oh well, what will be will be.

Yes, consider yourself lucky I suppose.  The first 4 or 5 shows I saw were DD shows.  And  yes, most other live music does not compare... *sigh*   :-*

They are both doing such excellent stuff now it doesn't bother me too much if they don't get to play together again... It'd be nice though.  in 2006 even if there were backstage dramas, they were AMAZING onstage

How do I say this without sounding negative.... I don't think I've missed a show between maine and mass since the DD were together, however, the current duo just doesn't do it for me.  I didn't even go a few weeks ago, whenever the EE kicked off.

I think I agree (if I understand you correctly)....

I have nothing against JW, and have seen him solo several times.
...but he just ain't got the feet to fill Brian's performing shoes...

I never saw them live, so I feel like I missed out on something. And it sucks because I feel it makes me less of a fan, in a way.

it doesn't make you less of a fan at all if you haven't seen a band live.

i missed out on ever seeing the Dolls live and that upsets me all the time, but i know i couldn't be a bigger dolls/afp fan. I see afp as often as humanly possible =]

Seeing them or Amanda has to be amazing, I really hope I get the chance someday. I always seem to live in places that dont get much traffic as far as tours go. Closest show to me coming up will be the Chicago gig, which is about a 5 hour drive for me,and being on a Tuesday(or was it Wednesday?) I will not be able to attend, I work nights and won't be able to get the time off.

I agree Len.
though some of the live recordings are a tad better. (than the studio stuff)

there are videos of some of the shows,
which mkae me realise how much i missed by
becoming a d.dolls fan so late ...
