Hopefully this will be worth waiting for

Unlike With Teeth, Year Zero & The Slip

While I concur on The Slip, With Teeth is my favorite NIN album and I have no problem with Year Zero. Both good albums, IMHO.

Compared to The Downward Spiral & The Fragile, With Teeth. Year Zero & The Slip sucked the farts out of roadkill.
Songs like Capital G are an insult to the first 3 albums (& The Broken EP)

I dont give much of a shit about Reznor but this caught my eye for one reason alone: the band name is taken from an album tiltle by the English duo Coil.
For those not aware... there would be no Reznor without Coil. Coil consisted of Jhonn Balance (RIP) and Peter Christopherson.... they were in the main clique of folks that started Industrial Records..which, with "Throbbing Gristle" gave way to the whole genre of Industrial music.

That was SUCH a hipster rant. Sorry. But check out Coil.

i could definitely get into this. will take some adjusting to separate it from "nine inch nails" in my head, but mariqueen's voice sounds pretty suited to the music, based on that song at least. excited to hear how it develops, for sure.

I really like this, it's got that typical Reznor sound but Mariqueen's vocals really take it somewhere different to NIN.
Looking forward to hearing more, this is very promising.

It's no secret that I think the last 3 NIN albums were poor. But i'm really impressed with everything I have heard from How To Destroy Angels.
Great video too

im really excited for the new project. Her vocals are quite smooth and tasty on the ears.

i have to disagree though. I think with teeth was a pretty solid album. I didn't much care for the slip but i can't expect one of my favorite artists to constantly make TDS or else there is no forward growth.

It's not a question of keep making TDS. The Fragile was completely different to The Downward Spiral & was absolutely awesome. I am lucky enough to be of an age (i.e. old) that I was hooked by NIN right at the start. I even went to Guns & Roses at Wembley just to see NIN support circa Pretty Hate Machine & have only missed 2 London shows in NIN's entire career. Of course bands have to grow & vary the sound. Pretty Hate Machine sounds nothing like TDS, in truth it sounds like a Skinny Puppy album. But it's still a great album. My issues with With Teeth & the albums that followed it is that they sound rushed, especially Year Zero. This is eveident in NIN's later gigs. Songs like The Collector just didn't fit. By the time Reznor did the NINJA tour he had dropped almost everything from the last few albums & played a set of classic NIN.
