We should definitely do something this summer! I've saved around £500 so far for nipping over to America, but that is for visitation of the wondrous Agonistes! With my next loan and my actual having of a job, I should definitely be able to afford that AND a kickass camping trip somewhere!
Anybody interested and have any ideas where to go? Please consider I cannot afford two round trips to the US, as entertaining as camping in Lens back yard would be!
The UK summer camps have always seem such fun!
You could just hike the Appalachian Trail between Ag's and Len's.
Lot's of camping there, and you get to really use your amazing new muscles ; - }
(Psst: I have a guest room, but I'm sure Ag does too.)
Ag is much more experienced in what's cool in her part of the USA.
To me: Ducktown, TN; Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; New Orleans, and
NASA's installations ...
Sarah: the last time I looked, flying from Europe to South Florida,
was the cheapest way to the US.
The sooner you book, the better fare you're likely to get.
But it's a lot of miles to drive to Ag's from there.
And a woman traveling alone,
especially in some parts of the southeastern
US could have some real bad problems.
Especially those who do not know the local scene.
