I am CROSSING MY FREAKING FINGERS that this is all ages. I can only come to one Cabaret show so I have no excuse not to come to this if I can.
And if Brian is there, oh man. I think A should have a scavenger hunt.

Remember when you were a kid, and you told your parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles,
the mailman and anyone else you could catch EXACTLY what you wanted?

And then your birthday rolled around and you got hand-knitted mittens?  ...and you
couldn't complain, 'cuz Aunt Sally put a lot of love and care into those mittens, and
really they're totally better than the toy X-Wing fighter with flashing lights and sound...   :-\

The moral of the story: you can get what you really want, or you can get a surprise, but
you really can't have both.... and hey, hand-knitted mittens are nice......  right?

I refuse to get my hopes up, plan travel or otherwise look forward to this, cuz if I do, it's gonna
be the niftiest hand-knitted mittens ever, and I don't wanna jinx it for everyone else.

nnnnnnnnnnnnno.  nothing was better than the x-wing with the flashy lights.  no gift ever came close, or ever will again.  except the millennium falcon with the opening hind end and hidden cargo ports.

Now you hush up.  Your Aunt Sally looked real hard to find yarn that was your favorite color,
and she spend hours knitting those mittens.   >:(

I'll be a little disappointed if Aunt Sally gives me mittens, but I'll love them all the same.
Even if it isn't the Dresden Dolls anniversary show that I want, Sean did say in the bandcamp interview that the show was going to be special.
And I don't want to miss a special show.

I'm stuck all the way down here in Australia. If it IS a Dolls reunion (or anything else, really) I hope there'll be a webcast or (better yet) a DVD release for the long-distance fans!

im 99% sure the dolls are gettingback together. when the cliks and hunter valentine rolled through stl to play a show, they crashed at my place for a few days and they brought with them lots of gossip :) lucas (the cliks - for those that dont know, brian briefly played drums for the cliks) said brian was telling him the dolls will be touring in the near future, but lucas didnt know if this halloween secret had to do with the reunion or if they were writing new material.

also, i just want to add that if you have a chance to see the cliks or hunter valentine live, DO IT. good music; good energy. if you have the opportunity to talk/hang with them, DO IT. they are all so incredibly friendly and amazing to talk to, especially adrienne (hv) and lucas.

I still have that at my family home (one fo the few toys I've kept from my childhood) it also made a nnnnnnzzzn engine noise :)
Falcon>X-wing

Back on Topic - if they do plan to play I hope they are kind to their fans and let us know at least 2 months in advance so we don't have to pay an arm and a leg to make it there.
imagine if 60% of the dolls total fanbase invaded one city in the US
IT WOULD BE PERFECT

Also I'd probably cry my eyes out if it so happens to be The Dresden Dolls.
I got SO CLOSE to seeing them on their last 2 tours together, but ended up getting so badly fucked. :(
I never even made it to ANY concert until four years into my AFP/Dolls love affair in Knoxville November '09. It was better than I could've imagined. She came outside and talked with us then and seemed quite sad at the fact that she'd not even talked to Brian in months and said she'd love to get The Dolls back together for at least one show.
Either way it will be so amazing! AND I'll be with a bunch of my LOFNOTC comrades :D FUUUUCK!  :toothy9:
