Having been to a few (American) Civil War themed balls, I can attest that
hoop-skirts don't work well with the vast majority of bathrooms.  The line
for the handicap-access ladies room is always impressive.  It all collapses
up, and the hoops are somewhat flexible, but even 'shrunk' it doesn't fit
well into small spaces.

I'll grant "awfully neat" but the gears aren't properly connected to each other to make the
mechanism look like it's actually doing something..... A working skeletal clock would be great.
