The Dresden Bombers Jacket
« on: July 31, 2010, 07:56:37 PM »

Hey Ya'll,

so this is a side project I'm working on. Since I have my own red coat, I decided to make a random DDolls jacket. I found the funniest term was "bomber jacket" mixed with dresden dolls, to the dresden bombers jacket (get it?).

Here's a picture of the stencil I worked out.

Thanks guys, I gotto get to goodwill and find a jacket that's going to be the right color. I haven't found a good red coat since my original but I'm keeping my eye out.

Maybe blue....oooh, white.

Edit - Anyone think it could be the back of a denim jacket, and it'd be like a retro-Amanda Palmer/Dredendolls biker gang jacket?

I LOVE the design! Very cool :)

I think it could work on the day of a denim jacket, but I think you should make it a sharp color on denim, like white or red.

Wearing it actually in Dresden might be considered poor taste.

That's on the list of "Worst Ideas Ever" that I've got going, one year when I got nothing left to do I'll get that list done.

LOL, that was my first thought also. I've actually been to Dresden a couple of times since I lived in Germany for quite a while and its not just the "Dresdners" who are sensitive about this. So my suggestion would be not to wear such a jacket at all in Germany.  :knuppel2: Have you found a suitable jacket yet, red coat?
