Shit. Now I'm panicking.
Question: The e-mail and Original Post said:
"TICKETS ON SALE
THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 9th
@ 12 NOON LOCAL-TIME"
That's why I bought them today from that site. So, why was their no e-mail update clarifying on the delay?
I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.
If you go to Amanda's tour page:
http://www.amandapalmer.net/afp/upcoming-shows/You are given the LiveNation ticket link, with the note "On sale Friday 9/10 at 10AM" - this is official information.
If you're talking about this info from the Dresden Dolls mailer:
TICKETS ON SALE
THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 9th
@ 12 NOON LOCAL-TIME
I read that as being info on the other tour dates (in November). The Halloween show, from my understanding, is a one-off show, and the tour that starts in November is the actual tour, with ticket info that's supposed to be on sale today.
Also, ticket links, and sale times are always subject to change, and are not always ready at the same time as other shows, they tend to vary from show to show, which is why the mailer also refers you to the dolls (and amanda's) official websites and the @AFPwire twitter for up-to-date information. @AFPwire (
http://twitter.com/AFPwire) has been posting ticket on sales as soon as they come through - announcing just yesterday that Dallas as already gone up.
I understand your haste in wanting to get the tickets - but it's important that you don't jump the gun, in order to protect yourself from buying from a scalper or third party. Just by searching Irving Plaza's official website (which is actually LiveNation.com) and searching on Amanda and the Dolls' website or social media websites, LiveNation's ticket link is what pops up, as well as the onsale time being tomorrow.
The site you got tickets off of will probably send you tickets, they're just charging an absurd amount for them - the way scalpers do.
