I'm thinking of getting a little ring put in my bottom lip.  Not entirely sure but I was thinking about this since I was 15 so at least I know it's not a rushed decision :P

I actually am thinking about that too, for several years. My mother HATES it though, so while I live here, she would never allow me to get that lol.

I don't want a ring, I want a stud but I've wanted one for like 4 years. Once, my mum told me that I should wait til I'm 21. I am 21 but I think that with the operation and all I went through with that, that it probably wouldn't be wise to maybe fuck it up and if it scars and all. I don't know, I still want one but I don't think I should.

That's the best part about stuff like piercing and tattoos. Nobody says you HAVE to get them. Total personal choice.

Oh I get that, and I would probably already have one by now, but I had an operation on my jaw a few years ago, and four years of braces and just a lot of general work in my mouth area lol so to get a piercing would sort of mar it a little, I guess.

all mouth piercings affect your mouth.  the 'studs' (labret rings) will migrate into your lip or cause an indentation on your gum, a ring can actually move teeth and cause scratching and gapping, and a tongue ring can do the same, plus break teeth.  plus anything IN the mouth collects plaque and bacteria and should be cleaned and changed out regularly let me say that again, CLEAN YOUR TONGUE RINGS, so that your piercist doesn't have to break the plaque seal and do it for you.  they hate doing it, it smells terrible, and we talk about your filthy ass when you leave.

the secret to any piercing is clean it.  clean it twice a day, more when it is weepy or migrating, and then clean it again when you randomly think about it.  if the ring has any smudge or matter on it, it is breeding zillions of bacteria with every breath you take.

and please wash your hands if you smoke.  nicotine is a bacteria, basically.

This put me off more than anything else I've heard.

I'm not much of a teenager! Also, most girls would want the ring ;)

Nicotine is an alkaloid and has been used for years as a cheap insecticide. And yes, it is from the nightshade family and can be poisonous.

I want an industrial and hope to get one soon, they're an ear bar that goes across the ear through two holes in the outside layer of cartilage (usually on an angle or full on verticle)

*blush* a little embarrassing, but I felt it funny enough to share here.

Key safety tip when dealing with a new PA:

1. don't wake up the next morning after a night out and stumble to the bathroom to pee without remembering that you have an extra hole on your urethra. To forget is to pee on your own balls. Then you're REALLY awake.  :embarassed:

i can't spell it, but i have heard similar things about a phrenum.

most pa conversations i have been privy to center around having to stand VERY close to the urinal at all times, or to just giving up and sitting down.

Frenum is the correct spelling.

and I've found sitting to be most beneficial. No longer can I be accused of leaving the toilet seat up.

frenum seems too easy, somehow.

i've always wanted to invent a low-gauge piece of jewelry that funnels and repairs the p stream back to what one was used to, but i never could work anything that seemed reasonable out.

They have one, though it's pretty hardcore. It's known as the Prince's Wand. Uses the same holes as a PA, but it shaped more like a policeman's truncheon (billy club, but truncheon is much more fun to say). Really something that could only be considered "enjoyable" by those who like urethral "sounding", and the piece goes quite a good length down one's urethra. Cringing yet? I certainly am.

The other issue is that the Wand itself must be completely made custom to order for the individual (read: expensive).
