This is kind of cool -

College Rankings of Rock: Top 20 Universities Rated for Their Musical Alumni

http://www.spinner.com/2010/09/08/college-rankings/

Quote
It's college rankings time, so we at Spinner evaluated universities near and far, ordering them according to their matriculation of musicians. Bands like the Commodores (Tuskegee University), Talking Heads (Rhode Island School of Design), Pink Floyd (University of Westminster) and Hall and Oates (Temple University) met while pursuing higher education. So even if you're not into that whole cracking the books thing, college can at least be a good place to find a drummer who keeps time.

Wesleyan University

Middletown, Conn.
Alumni: MGMT, Amanda Palmer of Dresden Dolls, Grateful Dead lyricist John Perry Barlow, Dar Williams, nerdcore artist MC Frontalot

Pass: In 1872, Wesleyan became one of first US universities to attempt co-education.

Fail: In 1912, it changed its mind, and women weren't allowed back until 1970.

Anatomy 101: Palmer, who lived in the same house that members of MGMT would occupy a few years later, conducted her senior art project naked.[/qupte]

That's nifty!

On a side note, when I was looking at colleges a few months ago, I found that there are a lot of colleges in the New England area with similar names (Wellesly, for example). It gets very confusing. o _ o

SWEET! My school's on the list! Pass: Boasts tallest library in the U.S. Fail: Library had to undergo construction due to random falling bricks. (not even kidding. Bricks were randomly falling from the tallest library in the U.S.)
