chances are that even if it has life and it has intelligent life, we will never contact it, due to the sheer distances involved...
also it is highly unlikely we will develop the technology to reach this planet within the next 100years..... things could change very suddenly though!

no idea.... but anything that will avoid the speed of light problem is going to be our only choice....perhaps dimensional travel
or straightlining (moving in a true straight line through a curved universe...its an odd one but has been suggested)
