SPIDERS ARE FORGING OUR WASHING LINE.
Seriously, I went out into the back storage room/washing line room about two hours ago and none of this was there. Somehow a massive web of about 30cm width that stretches literally wall to wall across the room has cropped up in the meantime. Is that even possible? Is it one really fast spider, or a colony of millions?
I swear to god my skin is fucking crawling right now, everything is fucking tingling and itching with paranoia, and here I thought I was starting to get over my arachnophobia.

Not very. It's quite drafty in there. Why?

spiders tend to move faster the warmer it is; now I'm really impressed at how much work the lil' thing got done in so short a time.

The fairly common sort we have around here will spin an elaborate web every night
around dusk, near the front porch light, and by morning the web's demolished, so
the next night they do it all over again.....
