Facebook Page Question
« on: October 13, 2010, 11:04:42 AM »

I don't mean to sound rude, (and if I come across that way, I'm deeply sorry) but why is it that if you try to add AFP on facebook, it says she has "too many friends" and it doesn't accept the request? I'm not angry by this, this is an earnest question of mine, and I was only wondering why this was, or if this has happened to other people in the last couple of months or so.

Thank you. :)

I got that too when I tried to add her a few months ago. I think there's a limit on how many friends you can have on an account. I know Scott Grimes set up a second account so he could connect with more fans since his first profile was to the limit.

The message that pops up about her having too many friends does seems a little mean. They should rephrase it, Facebook already has enough of a reputation without adding bullying through exclusion to it ;D

Yeah, the way they phrase it is awful. It's like trying to get a seat at lunch and the popular kids use the excuse that the table is full.

Of course, I can avoid that whole scheme because I don't take lunch :]

Yes, indeed, facebook has a 5000 friend limit. You can join the Amanda Palmer and the Dresden Dolls fan page though. And of course, twitter is Amanda's social media of choice.

I agree that the message is rude!

If you really wanna be friends, PM me a link to your profile and I'll send a request from Amanda's account.  O0

Does she contact fans through the fan page? All I've seen is new blog posts :P
