Wow. That would be a mission. And a hard one for someone like me. Although I think I could possibly attempt it.

Go for it! It'd be fun to have SOMEONE else doing it.

I probably won't. I don't think I'll have time to come up with something, or be able to come up with something.

Oh Mali!  Of all the times I've posted on my FB that I'm doing this, you just now come out to say that you're doing it too!

BAD MALI!

But yes, I am doing it.  I already have all the character outlines, the backstory, and that stuff.  Now I kind of need to write down an actual outline of the plot developments.  I have a day to do so, but that's okay, I pretty much know exactly what happens, as this story has been in my head since...2007.

One of these NaNoWriMos I'm gonna write my memoir/biographical novel. Sure to be a best seller.

Just not this year...

YEAH YEAR TWO OF TRYING FOR THREE DAYS AND THEN GETTING BORED!

I seriously don't have a problem with high-commitment projects. I get myself into them for fun. I'm doing a photo-a-day-for-a-year project and haven't missed a single day in 324 so far (partial lie: got two in several hours late--the night I was visiting my alma mater and the night I went to the Dolls concert). Can't for the life of me stick with a NaNoWriMo, though. And the sad part is I was a Creative Writing and English major in college, so this should be my "thing." Ugh. Hats off to those who can do this shit. It is insane and I have no idea how you do it.

I got up to 16,000 words, and just went BLAAAAAAAAAAH.  Can't do it.  The story itself to too long.  :(

I'm now aiming to have it done for Christmas. It'll be a gift for myself and my bestie who really wants to read it :P

I REALLY want to do this at some point in my life. But November is one of the worst months for me, as a student, prime revision/essay writing time. Writing a novel might be a bit much to ask from me. So maybe after I've graduated and left education and miss having deadlines such as from my English Literature degree.  O0

why wait for the official competition? you have 11 months available to practice

Edit: the thread name should be NaNoWriMo (capitalization isn't as important, but Mali forgot the "no" part).

I also propose, for all you interested...........ShaDoWriMo

Mali is an idiot, whatever.

She also didn't finish her book. She got a couple pages at least. Stupid school/new boyfriend. Well, I like both of those things, but they aren't helpful in writing.

1,425 words.  :buck2:

Ah yes, the chronic new boyfriend syndrome, it's actually impossible to write while all loved up in the honeymoon period. I'm currently being able to write moody, self pitying, indulgent poems in my chronic singledom. (*coughget over the excough*) We can never create art while happy, too busy being happy...
