2010 Dresden Dolls Tour Merch?
« on: October 29, 2010, 03:02:49 PM »

Will there be a tour shirt?
Will there be a tour poster?
Will there be individual show posters?

What WILL be sold? Prices? I must prepare.

Awesome, thank you much.  O0

If someone can post a picture of the booth (or what they got) after the NYC show that would be mint.

Very-vaguely related:
I saw Metric the other night...  paid $25 for a tour shirt, and I probably should have changed my
mind as soon as I got the thing in my hand and felt how ultra-flimsy the fabric was....

And what off-brand uber-cheap shirt maker produced this piece of tissue?

American Apparel.....   ;D
(So it would doubtless look smmmmmokin' on a porn-star-chick...)

I am entirely confident Team AFP has procured better textiles.

I’m guessing that the cats are standard size and will be available in the colours shown in the photograph.

ah, that's exactly my issue with DD/AFP merch a lot of the times...
i LOVE AA shirts! they're so soft and fit well, while often tshirts i've ordered from DD/AFP are what i call ''goth fabric''...they're so heavy and hard and the prints on them are pretty heavy too.

Wanna buy a Metric shirt that's so big it'd hang off you like a tent?   ;D

Oh, and MUST get one of the grey cats!  It'll totally go with the ones I already have.

Don't think it's been mentioned yet, but there will also be hoodies.

tees $25, hoodies $50, posters $20, bags $15, vinyl $25, stickers $2 & buttons $1

Hey guys (and gals and nongendered people and cats who can read)-

Merch table rundown:
Casey's gorgeous design on two colors of tees (dark blue & grey unisex up to 5x, dark blue & black girlie up to 2x), a hoodie, a bag, a poster, a sticker and a button.
PUNK CABARET IS FREEDOM tee (black unisex up to 4X)
Self-titled, Yes Virginia, No Virginia, and A is for Accident CDs.
Both Dresden Dolls songbooks

The unisex tees are Gildan Softstyle, which are the same tees we used for the LOFNOTC shirts and the red Evelyn Evelyn shirts.  They're soft but not too thin and they have a nice give to them.  I like them better than American Apparel because AA runs VERY small and won't make shirts/hoodies above a 2X, which pisses me off.  I also think that AA's standard tee can be a little rough feeling.

The girlie tees are by Bella, and they are similar to the tees we used for the red Evelyn Evelyn girlie shirts--- same brand, but different fit and a slightly more substantial tee.  Also soft with a comfortable slim fit which I've found to be very flattering.

The hoodie is a unisex style by Tultex.  They're a bit warmer/heavier than the American Apparel Flex Fleece Hoodie we've been using, but they're not bulky.  We're offering sizes small through 3XL, and they're printed with a large design on the back and a small "The Dresden Dolls" on the left front chest.  We are actually contemplating not offering hoodies after Boston since the tour is through a warmer part of the country, but I'm open to feedback on that.

The fall tour tee (designed by Casey) is printed with water-based ink.  In the screenprinting industry, the term "hand" refers to how soft a print feels on the t-shirt. When you use water-based ink, it means the garment will have minimal or soft hand.  Water-based ink tends to hold up very well.  The hoodies and bags are printed with water-based inks as well.

The PUNK CABARET tee is printed with a Plastisol ink.  We went with Plastisol for this tee because it's a white print on a black tee and we wanted it to be very vibrant.  So that print has a heavier hand, but since it covers such a small area it shouldn't be too bothersome.

Any other questions, feel free to hit me.  Oh, and we'll have a credit card machine on the tour, but I can't guarantee that it will always be functional. :)
