And on that note...she was standing over my head during "Mein Herr" when my battery died.  I don't think I've ever opened that camera so fast...    Glad I managed to get a few good shots from that angle.

I managed to get my shots up a little while ago too!  Can't wait to see the collective documentation!  There were a lot of people taking photos and I'm sure the crowd managed to get just about every possible angle!

I was focused on shooting Brian, because I missed seeing him perform and probably should have made a better effort to see him perform with his other musical interests.  Snagged a couple of decent ones of AFP too, although I only did the first three songs in from the floor crowd and took video of the opening song, and it was a lot harder to see Amanda from the remaining spots I found to shoot from.

Overall, wonderful night!

I'm the hat-guy. xD I didn't realize my hat was on backwards...it fell off in the audience and it was too dark to see if I had it on right again. Oh, the fuck well.

I didn't get many photos of the Dolls playing because I was too busy enjoying the experience (not to mention at a pretty poor vantage point from the floor). Thanks!  Yes, his hair definitely "asks" to be photographed!  He's got great stage presence and it's nice to be able to shoot a drummer who isn't trapped behind 2-4 other musicians!  Drummers are so awesome to watch/shoot... especially our wonderful Brian V.

RE: the Jeep Chorus, I tried to get up there... I got about halfway through the crowd and people were super nice about letting me get through but I missed it... again... I tried years ago at another show but once again I was all the way at the back.

You still got really awesome shots!  If I didn't have the whim to bring my one and only telephoto zoom lens (I rarely use it), I would have been out of luck because I ended up shooting from the upstairs corner/back and the back floor bar for 90% of my shots.  I like that you took time to shoot other things besides the show... there are ALWAYS photos of the show, but it's good to see photos of people AT the show, especially on a night like Halloween!

Thanks! Yeah, that's part of what I was trying to do, because for something like this it's about more than the Dolls on stage - it's an event! It would be awesome if anyone knows who the people in my photos are, and I do selfishly hope some other people's photos of me float to the surface.
