This is the "I think I can" thread, so that maybe you will know you can.

I think I can learn Aerial Silk.
So I'm going to start (jazz) dancing again (egahds, it's been years) to get my flabby bits more invisible. I should also probably lift weights...but getting in shape first is probably a good step. James wants to dance as well, so it'll be fun to take classes together and perhaps encourage both of us to follow through.

I think I can Roller Derby.
I know, I know, everyone and their Aunt wants to be Ellen Page.
But I've been roller skating since I was five and wanting to kick ass since fetus.
So, I am going to start skating again regularly before I invest in good skates, hopefully getting in shape at the same time, and when awesome wonderful health insurance magically occurs I'll start investigating a good team.
I should also check out Roller Derby matches. I'm sure I'm making a really dangerous activity candy coated in my head. Yayy.

I think I can sail a boat.
But I can't swim. (not very well anyway)
So SWIMMING LESSONS come summer.

I think I can finally learn ASL. I mean, I taught myself how the language works and have asked many people who know ASL if my understanding of the language is precise or misinformed and apparently it's precise, so I just need to learn some signs. With all these years of music lessons, learning a couple of signs shouldn't be that hard, right?


I think I can also learn German, but I think I'll have to take a class for that because I'm reading a book and it's kinda difficult.


I think I can obtain a degree in operatic performance if I really tried.

I think I can lose the weight I gained this semester. Maybe not before I go to San Francisco (), but once the semester ends and I live at home again, it should be easier to lose weight. The campus food they make us eat is so unhealthy. It's not my fault I got fat on it, right? And I can even use my mom's shake weight this winter to tone my arms 

I think I can do well on my Japanese final.
I think I can pull a B- in that class. Izaki-sensei believes in me. And she understands all I've been going through this semester.

^If I went to university this year I'd be forced to eat that nasty food which is all fast food. Y'see living on res requires you to have a mandatory meal plan which I think is absolutely stupid seeing as each of the rooms have a fucking stove and oven and refrigerator in which to store food in. Stupid stupid. So if I went to school this year I too would think I could lose the freshman fifteen.

^^I'm glad I stayed at home rather than living in the Halls.

^^You're damn right you're glad. They also require us to have a meal plan for their shit food they feed us, and 1700$ a semester for it is pure robbery. We have a kitchen in our dorm, and even if I ate frigging top ramen every night, it'd be way healthier and less fattening than the stuff they expect us to eat in the cafeteria.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can handle living with my mom next semester. I'll just spend all of my free time out of the house and only be there for sleeping.

^Find a job where it's easy to pick up extra hours, that's what I do, always offering to cover shifts, making plans with friends, finding ways to not be in the house during the days/nights when people are home.
