Important stuff on Ebay
« on: December 09, 2010, 08:19:42 PM »

There is some really major Amanda stuff on Ebay right now, yes it is my sales, but the more I make the more I can donate to Amanda, now do you get the plan!!! Look for stuff from meandwife01, message me and maybe I'll give you a good deal, who knows, but I thought it would be a cool way to get more money to get to Amanda. But if you all think this sucks, then forget it and let non fans get it, see how you are I figure I'll donate at least 20% of the sales, so mods if this isn't the way to do this, help me out so I can sell it for alot and get Amanda alot more. Cool?

you do realise that if i'm paying that much for a cabaret poster so you can make a donation to Amanda, i'm practically making the donation myself. why should i pay $60 for the poster without knowing how much of the money will end up in Amanda's pocket, and not buy it for $20 from PWT and donate the other 40 to Amanda directly?

plus the description of the item seems like a desperate attempt to sell

AMANDA PALMER IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD, BELIEVE THAT

DON'T YOU WISH YOU HAD A PIECE OF MADONNA COLLECTIBLE FROM HER EARLY DAYS BEFORE MEGA STARDOM PUT THEM OUT OF REACH

THIS IS THAT CHANCE, THIS POSTER WILL GO DOWN AS ONE OF THE CLASSIC THEATER POSTERS OF ALL TIME

i don't mean to offend you, but honestly the whole thing sounds a bit stilted

  • are random PMs like this aganist the sbox rules?
(i have too much to do right now, to re-read them : - {{{ )

    if yes,
the people getting them could complain to the mods

  • buyer beware

they look to be amanda's signature,
    but i'm not an expert

imho, the cabaret poster is overpriced

but a matted framed autographed picture for $40.00,
    isn't too steep

but the market at ebay will decide

  • ]i looked at krisjay postings here on the sbox

seem like an immature mis-guided fan to me,
    who needs a few $$$
and/or feels he'll also help amanda this way,
    or an ignorant schemer,
who has taken months to hatch a con,
    that won't work here

  • if i wanted a's signature,
i would go to a show and get it at a meet-n-greet

  • if i wanted to help the d.dolls,
i buy some merch from post-war trade,
    or donate via paypal,
    or cook a meal,
    or provide some beds,
    or ...

honestly, it's SO easy to get amanda's autograph that i would never buy one online.
how sad, think of all the people who make amanda sign stuff at shows with the sole purpose of selling it. i hope they get diarrhea.

100% REAL FOR LIFE

As opposed to being real for a while and then becoming forged later on?

My favourite is the Daniel Radcliffe poster - $1000
Good bloody luck.

I gotta get around to taking these scumbags off of eBay...

I'm probably missing some kind of humour in this haha.  I wouldn't say scumbags, but silly and way over-expectant, definitely.

Maybe not in this particular instance...but the people printing bootleg shirts...and yeah...I do kinda find autograph scalpers scummy, as well.
