Since the inception of The Dolls, the band has tried very hard to keep fans as close as possible, all the while keeping things fresh and exciting.
Both Amanda and Brian strive hard to do special things for all of you -- on many occasions they have played songs live, but have asked that these particular performances not be made available to the public. Each time, you have honored this request.
With that said:
Many press and promotional photos for Amanda's upcoming solo record were discovered yesterday, and were being passed around amongst the fans. It is great (and understood) that many of you were excited about these photos and were sharing them with one another, but please DO NOT DO THIS ANY LONGER.
We have removed all discussion about the photos from both the LiveJournal and board, and ask that if any of you saved these images, please DON'T share them.
Amanda has put a lot of her own money into these photoshoots and literally spends HOURS trying to find the best of them to present to press so that they are unique and new to all of you each and every time. As fans of music and unique artists, we know it's exciting to discover such a motherload of unseen material, but we also know that Dresden Dolls fans are like no other and are very respectful of Amanda's wishes...
It is wonderful everyone enjoyed what they got to see, but again, please be patient and wait for us to release these photos in their full glory.

there was a thread on here yesterday with a link to someone on livejournal that had the photo gallery online. i think it transferred you to flickr, if i remember correctly.

and that date is unknown, beyond probably being in the spring

including the recently posted video of her
being venus emerging from the waters to do a
yoga stand on a hawaiian nude beach

in this collection of shoots,
she connected with the camera much better in many of the clothed pics

i only had one quick pass through them,
and had planned to go back ...

about half of them were pics from recent concerts,
that have been posted or linked to from the box

Well, now that I've got permission...

But in all honesty the photos themselves were so amazingly beautiful. Can't wait to see them around the time of the official release.

One of the lame things about the information age. It is neat how people respect The Dolls enough to police and comply with such requests. I hope everyone does.

the only pixie ones i saw were live and the most recent photo shoot with brian (though brian wasn't pictured)...the train tracks?  her watermark was on everyone, too.

I bet that whatever picture she picks for the album cover, it will be genius.
Sometimes, a good album cover can be one of the best parts of a record, I think.  Though I'm sure Amanda's entire album will be absolutely brilliant.
