Ok, I know how to chat in the guild chat, in the party chat, and I know how to say something where what you say appears over your head. But how do you talk to other players using just "general" chat or "trade" chat?

I'm always seeing people talking to each other in these chat areas. But I have no clue how to enter into a discussion or start one. And some times "whispering" is a little too impersonal and just saying something seems a bit obnoxious and most of the time it goes ignored anyway.

    • Facebook, website, what's the dif?

Am I the only one who's more bothered by this sort of thing than by a regular spambot?

Even worse when it happens in real-life: someone is clearly "up to something",
but there's no way to tell what it is.....

I'm sure Zetaclear will make it all better for you.

Did "he" add that?  Or did my subconscious simply blot it out from my perception?

It is a sneaky spambot with a penchant for WOW. The spam is in the signature so that you won't notice it.

"He" did add it some time after making the original post.  To start with the signature was just a . or / or something like that.

S'why I was unsure if it was a spambot or not to start with, cos it wasn't actually advertising anything (except WoW I suppose).
