We will all be saved by a 40 foot tall, Asian woman named Kiag.

May her incredible robot journey end as swiftly as it began.

Damn, and I thought it was my turn to get a gold star this round.  Maybe Max is lifting me while on a stilts or something.

I think maybe we ALL need to get a more productive hobby. I just don't get why people can't just talk about the interesting stuff and ignore the BS. I don't understand why everything has to be some sort of dramatic battle against the forces of Len or Wyatt.
Can't we all just get along?[/i][/b][/color]  :'(

I think the only person really "battling" against Wyatt is len.

I think people are. . . whatever. . . against len because pretty much everybody is really tired of him, of his posts, of his outrageously ridiculous attempt to mediate. . . y'know, the usual.

I think that there are many things that go away if you simply ignore them. Not that I think everyone should ignore Len, because I actually happen to think he's a good guy. I just think there is a lot of unnecessary flame fanning... that goes for you too Len.

See, here's the thing:

I thought he was a pretty nice guy, too.  In fact, most people did.  There were a few who were immediately irritated by him, but I think overall, everyone thought he was alright.

After awhile, he got obnoxious.

Most of us ignored it, hoping it would go away.

Then, some of us said something, and some of us even felt bad, because he was a real nice guy.

Then, more of us started saying, "Alright, dude, what the hell?"

So goes the story.  Ignoring didn't work, kindly asking didn't either.  Now, everyone's like, "WHAAAAAAAAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK?!"

I think that it can be ignored to a point. I know many nice, lovely, utopian minded people who would love this board to the love-fest 2008, but you know... they don't try to come in and convert everything. They make their posts and they put their opinions out there, they don't clog the entire thing up with birthday posts of people who probably used a made up fake-only for junk mail email to register an account on the shadowbox so they could ask a question about whether amanda and brian are dating. If Len is so intelligent and kind, why doesn't he listen to what people have been saying and cool it down? He doesn't, he just keeps going and keeps going... he'll make 10 birthday threads and in every one, get bashed by everyone telling him not to make such useless crap threads. Then he'll go and make another 10 threads about how he's mr. sunshine and we're baby grinches.

Come on? I hope he has realized that his posting, in attempts to bring back inactive users, has turned off a lot of the most active users. Soon this place will be Len, fluffy love bs, some bots, the few Len supporter(s), and a zillion threads between Len and said supporter(s) mixed in with a another zillion birthday threads for people who no longer acknowledge the box. Occasionally Amanda Palmer will post something, in which Len and supporter will post back and forth...

1) And this is an undeniable truth, myself included:  People love drama.  Especially drama like this, which doesn't affect them in any real way.  I'm sure these threads will end up being the most read threads, again.  You want to leave, but your attention is already grabbed.

2) I also liked Len -- still do at times.  In fact, I see a lot of myself in his posts, and that's why I tried to go the please kindly stop/I'm going to joke about this until it goes away route.  I wasn't really initially all that bothered by the birthday posts either, even though there were massive amounts of them and I and some others suggested making a single birthday thread.  But I can't help being irritated when he judges his actions to be more worthy than ours.  And the self-righteous labeling.  Grinch or hero?  Good or evil?  No more labeling of people and putting them into their neat little categories, for the love of god.  And no more trying to put the 'box in a neat category, either.  Len, people may say that you look like Christ, but you are not our savior.

I almost wonder if it isn't on purpose. Ya know, pushing buttons to see what will happen.  As for the birthday threads, I thought it was some automatic thing. I didn't read them, and didn't notice that Len was posting them. So, Len... do what you want, but don't bitch about the responses.. everyone else.. do what you want, but I think you are just fueling the fire by responding.
Peace all! I'm out for today. I gots me some travelin' ta do!... then again.. there IS wifi at the airport... I think I have an addiction issue.

You don't think that telling people to "change the name of the thread" to be "more creative" and suggesting that peoples post be removed or modified to fit the fucking topic and otherwise trying to change the ENTIRE board dynamic, to suit HIMSELF, is a liiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit much?

Katherine saw through it long before anyone did, and props to her for being fucking perceptive;

I have to say that I have been more than slightly amused lately by the number of people of all different personality types and communication styles uttering echoes of the oh-so-reprehensible things I said months ago.

Ignore him. Ignoring people's easy. I do it all the time. ;D
Or...maybe BillH could install an option they have at Alternet: an "ignore this user" option. It blocks all a designated member's posts from appearing on your screen, :glasses9:

and heather, the best point on this page.  len, you are not a mod.  who cares how people write their topics?  "across the universe" vs. "across the universe - a movie beatles fans will enjoy!"

Yea. I think that's it in a nutshell (the reason people are so bothered).
