I once attended a Prohibition-themed party at Bristol Brewery and went home with a keg of beer for winning the costume contest for... dressing exactly how I always do.

This is the kind of thing that I've just had to accept as normal in my life.

This is amazing, but when you say you have to accept it did it really irk you all that much in the first place?

I'm far too stubborn to learn how to play the guitar.

I've had a small piece of metal stuck in my thumb for the past two weeks.

I think I have a fear of music festivals.
People keep posting on FB about going to Tomorrowland, and the concept of going to that HUGE festival just chills me.
I don't know if it's the gigantic number of people there or what.
I also don't see the point of being so far away from stage and then it's never music I'm interested in, so I guess it's not too much of a pity.

I can't stand festivals. They are crowded (I don't like people, a few at a time and I'm fine. A few thousand and I reach for the valium.) and it's never as good as going to a real standalone show.

I quite like festivals....  Setting aside the relatively-cheap price (sure, the tix tend to be expensive,
but when you divide by the number of acts, it's really a deal), it's an opportunity to see bands that
you MIGHT like, and if you don't, there's another option a few minutes later.

no idea if I already posted this here...but very few people outside of my family know (or have ever known, because it's not something I tell people) when my birthday is. I have friends who've known me for decades who have no idea.

How come??

it never struck me as something a lot of people needed to know.

That's pretty funny, in an odd sort of way :)

@topic - When I read on my own, I act it out a little bit with my face, and read aloud to myself quietly doing the characters' voices and everything. Sometimes I pretend I'm reading it for an audiobook or something. I think it started when I was doing my A Levels and I realised that reading aloud - even just quietly - made me avoid my bad habit of skipping over whole paragraphs, or even pages, when I'm reading. Now I just find it fun. I try not to do it in public, but my dad says my lips move when I read sometimes, and Seamy says he can always see my reaction to what I'm reading on my face.

I do this sometimes when I'm really into a book I'm reading. I hope I don't do it in public.
