i dont understand 16+ shows. i went to one for sleepytime gorilla museum, but no one even bothered to find out my age. makes no sense.

and nj 18+ shows are weird too. cmon its not like thered be smoking inside either way!

Honestly, I've found that a lot of 16+/18+ venues don't care. I've been to several where if you didn't have ID or were underage, they'd just mark you as being unable to drink. I'm sure some enforce the restrictions, though.

There's been just one show that I wanted to go to, but couldn't due to an age restriction at the venue. Wild Strawberries were performing in Buffalo. I was 20, however the show was 21 and over. Oh, well. I really think that restrictions like that are a waste of time at most venues.

I agree with you there! Although I am 15...being a minor sucks period.
I hate when there are 18+ shows at a venue where you have been before that was an all ages show.......it's weird and random I don't completely understand it.....*blinkblink*

everyone who's complaining about it, who's under 21.
The only reason i have a problem with it, is because Wisconsin would be fully willing to make bars 18+
if the federal government hadn't enforced the law. They wouldn't pay for roadways if Wisconsin wasn't 21+.

Loophole there is, that I can be in a bar with my mother, drinking until 9PM any given night of the week as long
as i have my driver's license on me, and her there with me. It's funny though, people always think that i'm 22 or 23,
and I never even got carded when we went to see HUMANWINE. I got served alcohol and everything.

Going out of the state though, the rules are not so lax. It's annoying when we go to Illinois.
Or that time we were in Oklahoma, and i wasn't allowed anywhere near the bar at the fucking applebee's.
