What was everyone using for format?

hi-md for me. it's a little outdated, i suppose (removable media! gasp!) but it works for me. one of these days, i'll upgrade to something solid state...but for now, it works.

And hey woj, that's a great avatar icon!  What will the CIA think of next, eh?

oh! you have no idea how much you recognizing that warms my princess coldheart!

Were you the one with the two mics attached to the railing at the very front of the boxes?

'twas the case. i was originally smack-dab in front of the house left stack, but everyone seated there was moved up to the boxes as the theatre wasn't supposed to sell those seats due to the obstructed view. wheeeeeeeee! that's actually a pretty decent spot -- perfect bird's eye view of the keyboard and practically straight-on look at kit. and being able to mount the mics makes life a whole lot easier as well...

ok, time for brunch.

What was everyone using for format?  I thought about bringing my DAT recorder, but that just seems so out of date these days and I haven't been able to convince myself to spring for a fostex FR2-LE.

DAT is still a viable format.  The main advantage that the digital solid state or hard drive format recorders have is in the transfer.  Instead of having to transfer at real time to the computer, I can hook up a USB cable and have it transferred in minutes and start mastering.

I was running Church Audio cardioids > Church preamp > Edirol R-09.

Here are my photos.  Not many brigade photos due to me statuing, but I was about... 5-10 rows back so I got some AMAZING shots of the Dolls.  They're in reverse order.. I can't figure out why my photobucket hates me today.  Anything taken before the Dolls went on was taken by my friend Felicia, anything after is from me.  No opening acts due to... Everything bad going wrong at once?  Yeah, that sounds about right.

And thank you thank you thank you Lentower for the lovely gift... I wanted to hug you for it, but I thought it'd break character, then couldn't find you after the show!

Great show!  I had front row seats on the mezzanine.

Now, who is going to post Fight for your Right - that was great.

Here's a (fragmented) setlist from memory. Its probably missing some stuff.

The Wall
Girl A
Missed Me
Gravity
Ultima Esperanza
Coin-Operated Boy
the Gardener (OMG)
Two-Headed Boy
Mrs. O
Mandy Goes to Med School
Fight for your Right
Mein Herr
Boston
Sweet Dreams

I have recordings of Ultima and the Gardener...but they're a bit fucked up. I'm going to see fi I can try to fix them. If not, I'll upload them as they are, but they're...I dunno.
