I don't think I'll have enough backpack space for costuming. Maybe I'll strut around in a bikini. Especially if it snows. How awesome?!  :-X
I HAVE AN IDEA!!!

Very true.

I could wear my winter ear flap hat, a scarf, and my zebra bikini. I'm not sure everyone wants to see my pubies though. I'll have to think about it.

On thedirtybusinessbrigade.net FAQ it says
Quote
Q: I’m shy, and don’t have any talent, but I want to be a part of it. Is there something I can do?

A: First of all, we don’t believe that you don’t have any talent. You can dress beautifully and help us set up and decorate the venue, silently pass out flowers or other presents to people .... anything simple like that is totally legit. See the Shadowbox Forum link below and go check that out.....

Is this really still true, or likely to be true at the Orpheum show?  I could get into something like that.

all in all who is going to be brigading at the Boston show? I thought we should get some kind of list going so we know what we have, and what we have to work together as setting the atmosphere.

 i agree.

i currently do not have a ticket due to funds and the lack of them, but i get paid tommorow and should find my self a ticket.

i posted my ideas in a seperate thread in boot camp that state my ideas.
but havent really recieved much  imput besides mr. kenny wisdom

so i shall copy and paste it here.

"i have a few ideas for acts. I'd like to know your opinions.

the first is an adopt-a -doll booth thingy. i have a collection of about 50 old dolls, and I've been looking for a way to get rid of them since they take up most of my closet. i also sew and would make rag dolls or dresses for the other(some naked). i would set up a table full of dolls. i would set up an adoption agency, we'll call it and people can adopt dolls. i would have certificates of adoption to fill out. and we'd have to sign it and they'd get to take the doll and the certificate home with them.

next idea i had, it may have been done before.
to have a dress up trunk or two. with funny hats and feather boas, pirate shirts, and cowboy boots...etc.. that's where the idea started. i had two directions from there either..a) we'd take pictures of them and post them all online and give them a slip of paper with the website address on it and they could view their photos. or b) we could take small groups of people who want to dress up and make a game out of it sort of. give them a role in a skit. and have them read it. so you have people dressed up in what ever they want reading plays, entertaining the others around. this may force guys to play girl parts, or vice versa. they may have to play a bird or the lion. and i feel like this could turn out to be very funny.

number three

my friend came up with the idea of doing a plastic surgery bit.
she would statue(or maybe not) and be painted with lines like on her tummy, that say "cut here" and then i would be in a doctor type outfit, with a giant pair of scissors or scalpel,(cardboard?) and some how interact with her.

so those are my basic concepts.
i just wanted to know what you thought. they may or may not be used. if you want to use any of these ideas, do it up."

I love the doll idea. You could even give the striped stockings ;) But also take into account of what you would do after you ran out of dolls?

The plastic surgery bit sounds very interesting as well. You could even throw in some Mandy Goes to Med School into there.
I say pick which one you are most comfortable with. And think about it possibly being wicked cold with a chance of snow on the ground. I plan on being in layers with my outfit. But it is New England so we might luck out on a "warm" winter day.

If we could get in early before the show to setup that would be excellent. I will be in Boston during the day of and before the show. I'm not sure hwo to find out said information-other than just calling the place and inquiring about it.

calling the place and inquiring about it.

i will bet you 10 dollars the person you talk to will not know anything about it.

best bet is just wait for amanda, or someone else in charge gives us the details.
