My music!
« on: June 25, 2011, 01:59:13 PM »

I am 17 years old, taught myself piano, and I'm a songwriter. I've recently been sharing my originals and my friends are really supportive of them. Go listen and tell me what you think! ("terracycle" & "rain prayers" are instrumental experiments with friends and we were mostly just fucking around).

I just put up a new song yesterday called "We're Kids" and I think it's the best song I've written. and the sound quality of my music is getting better! so go listen!!

thank you! yes im 17, i'll be 18 in 3 months. i recorded it with garageband and my yamaha keyboard (it is MIDI- capable) and then did vocals over it with my samson microphone. then i did another layer of vocals. so far it's my best/highest quality method of recording. :) theres a few songs (like "new york times" and "a proper home" and "the poison in your dreams") that i wanna re-record because i know they'd be better songs if they were just higher quality. but for now i'm just writing new music!

I'm impressed. It sounds really good, the only thing I have to recommend is a pop filter, because the S sounds way too sharp, and is really annoying.

But the song itself is really nice. You could try to be more dynamic, the piano is quite flat volume wise (play less notes, play slower/half time, etc). At the 2:45 mark the piano part just got boring, it needs a new chord progression. But the vocals are really good, and your playing is quite good as well. Just try to add variations and try to keep surprising the listeners (which you achieve in the first 2:45!).

You can also make one from a pair of panties. I used the top of a plastic cup, cut it into a ring, and then slide the panties over it. Complete it by making a knot in the panties so there's tension. It does the job, the only thing you need to remember is that you have to hold it while singing  ;D

Lol what? seems so random i wonder what the rest of the country thought... the music seems so dark compared to the Video.

All they had to do is finish it off with a "BFG" sound to make it perfect

I have no hard evidence to prove it, but I believe.... just possibly....

rorsleenny might maybe perhaps be a spambot.....

If I had proof, he/it/she would be gone.
