And yeah, all that shit stuff was from when I was like 12.

I am SO not revealing all the shit I saw when I was little. Hanson was the most respectable of the concerts I attended before the age of 15.

I'm not including any of the folk festivals my parents dragged me to as a child either...

It all needs to be repressed/forgotten.

rarely go to concerts, unless i like the band/musician very much or if a friend is going& asks me to go& i like the band/musician enough (since most "concert" concerts are 1-2 hr drive from me).
my town does get some great traveling bands over& I go to local venues a lot though....so I guess I'll list concert propers that i've been to +whatever i consider to be semi-known/known around here.

the strokes+ muse -were in town, did a favor by buying ticket off friend's friend-- lacked wow factor, but i guess a hilariously stoned stroke lead singer& witnessing someone sneakily "slipping" off to lower level from the stadium w/out breaking his/her ankle and w/out being caught is worth it.

jason webley-- my fav of his was quite circus-y. involved a shovel, death mask, storybook, bottles w/ rocks, and a HUGE red tomato balloon into which a)his head first disappeared into and he proceeded to bob along-- think jack in the box on a much grander scale b)he completely disappeared in the balloon (yes, it's that big)

vermillion lies

luminesent orchestrii

the yeah yeah yeahs

dresden dolls

amanda palmer

the arcade fire

They shoot horses (don't they)
-- on kill rock stars

Baby Gramps
-- amazing well known folk musician...and I think Pirates of Carribean soundtrack has something from him

Sonic Youth (daydream nation tour)-- best. concert. ever. unfortunately crap venue&staff that made everyone stay in their seats(that's right, *everyone* had seated tickets)& cleared off the aisle by yelling several times during the concert when dragging people one by one didn't work out that well.
still awesome, but would have been s*** awesome if we could stay in the pit

I fucking love Muse, they were great live... worth years seeing them too.

The Stroke were infront of me during my first =w= show in 2002. Julian, the singer hurt his knee and was waving his crutches at Rivers during the show. He was also smoking it up with and making out with Christina Augilera... i have picture actually... the strokes damn hair blocked my view of Weezer though :( but i ended up playing foosball backstage against Albert...

haha Elefant... they were pretty good and now they aren't.

I remember that show as in... not being able to go. Yep, that's how I remember a lot of NY based shows especially w/ Ours. ha. The old guitarist of Ours (who's actually playing now with Radio 4) and the guitarist of Elefant are in this really weird ass band called APE FIGHT.

Adding the Dirty Pearls and Jesse Malin to my list. I was actually at the Bowery Ballroom last night. Really nice venue. I wish I had been allowed to go to an area with seats... but thats a whole other story.

It's not so much that Elefant's songs were bad, it's just that the singer seemed way too preoccupied with trying to appeal to the ladies.  Also, Ours invited him up for a cover of "Femme Fatale" by Velvet Underground and homeboy didn't even know the words.

HAHA yeah I hear he's into models and full of himself.

Ours covered Femme Fatale on their second cd... i think it's a decent cover but it was label forced thing. I think I remember reading about that... what a douche! Anyway, if you get a chance to see them live now, you definitely don't want to pass it up. The new songs are incredible, epic.

Don't ask how I know this, but he was dating this chick (dunno if he still is) that was really big in the pro ana community. I could be mistaken though.
