I'm DivinyDistant (Deidre) and I have Narcolepsy. It's not like just falling over asleep all of a sudden, there's a lot more to it. Look it up. I am a metalsmith and design things in fashion and jewelry, etc. which I rarely get around to doing. So much to do and even more to distract me from it!

Yeah, I've never really considered cataplexy, just because it never happens to me under non-sleeping conditions (thank god). Woohoo!

Also, a metalsmith? That. Is kind of awesome.

Hey, everybody! I joined a couple of weeks ago, but I've lurked off and on for a year or so, I think. This may be long (I'm a long winded type of person.), so forgive me in advance.

My name is Suzanne, but I routinely go by Suzy or Niki. I'm 25 years old, and I live in Kansas - close to Kansas City. I have 3 cats and 2 snakes. I play the Saxophone (though I no longer have one), and have dabbled in piano, guitar, and ukulele. I also knit, and I'm contemplating doing chainmail. (because I saw a chainmail purse, and I have to have one.) I am addicted to Twitter. I have 3 older brothers, so I'm definitely a tomboy. I also really love sports. I have been a Dresden Dolls fan for about 5 years now. I love them when they're together, and I love them when they're doing solo projects. I've never seen them live, which bums me out to no end.

I think that's all, actually. Wow, much shorter than I expected.

...and Suzy...  I think you'll have no trouble finding people to talk music with here (pick any
of the instruments you mentioned - I even know of a sax-less sax player), or knitting, or
cats... I think we have a snake or two...  plenty of knitters (I keep meaning to learn), and
yes, we have at least two people who make (or have made) chain mail...  srsly.
