well since the bad that prompted the brigade in the first place has broken up (on hiatus, whatever), why should there be any wonder why it isn't done anymore?

Until they return to Denver, they're broken up/on hiatus/pursuing independent interests to me.

I dress rather casually on a regular basis, so I like to dress up for shows. (Even if it doesn't always look like it) I have yet to attend a dolls/amanda/brian show, but you can bet if it happens I'll probably dress up a bit. To me, it makes the event a bit more special and fun. I love knowing that I'm going to a show, and taking the time to plan my outfit, hair, makeup ect...Yeah, I'm the girl planning what she's gonna wear a month or so in advance. It's allpart of the fun for me.

And boo to the people who sneer at those who do dress up...if they're not harming anyone, let them have their fun.

Am I the only person here who has a fancy dress wardrobe? :( I did the school run dressed as a princess twice this year. Any excuse, seriously.

No, spambot, I don't think Birkenstocks are the footwear of choice for this fanbase.

Yes, for the VIP Concert I attended in Boston on 1 AUG.  It was a VIP event- just for us 1%'ers!  And, I wore my white tuxedo.  As my profile picture shows, AFP was very interested in the white tux man!  Here I am in this picture helping her understand my 'cheat sheet' of items I needed to talk to her about- since I knew I would be in 'shell shock' mode when she came to talk to me (and yes, I knew she would like the white tux).

The paper I am holding is explaining how I joined her 'wolf pack'  and related it to Zack G's speech in The Hangover.  But, she had never seen the movie...

*random off-topicness* Sweet. Had no idea you go to BM. My first time will be next year. We'll have to meet up, assuming you remember me. ;) Also, just curious, which regionals do you attend?

*ahem* Dressing up is for suckers, assuming it's something you don't want to do. If you want to do it, great. If not, show up in whatever you're wearing. Comfort is all that matters. That and not getting arrested for lack of clothing. ;) All this goes for anything in life, really, except for maybe BM and other regionals, where lack of clothing typically isn't a problem.

now that I think about it some more...I wouldn't exactly call it "dressing up", but I used to have these neon pink shorts that I would wear to metal shows when the weather was warm enough.  :glasses9:

I dress up for certain shows.  I am a former goth chick, so my wardrobe still has a lot of really awesome Vampire Costume party pieces, as well as some punk rock stuff

I'm heading to Philly to see AFP in a few days and I plan on dressing up.  I've got a great plaid punker skirt and some platform boots and my hair is pretty fucking pink. I hope to at least be able to compete with other AFP/DD fans :)

I admit that I felt somewhat underdressed at the art show opening in London this June.
Therefore I just bought a tuxedo (on ebay - used and possibly more or less fitting) for the October show in Amsterdam. I already have my eyes on a satchel and even if I'm taking the faq too literally I will at least feel that I'm showing my appreciation more visibly.
Now, if I only could find my monocle...
