...you are my only hope.
I put the URL between the brackets and put in the correct size, but all I get is this white box. What am I doing wrong?
P.s. if anyone else knows, I would be forever in your debt. Which is a nice way to say that I will never pay you back
gawd, i'm not sure i want to be anyone's "only hope"
there are others on the box here who understand this
just the overprecise pedantic-ness that computers need to do anything useful
each video has a URL that take you to a page that includes an embedded player for that video,
and an embed URL that is used by the video player, including the [flash ] BBC here on the new box
you used the former
for youtube, to transfer it to the later, just change the text "watch?v=" to "v/"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJR4pja78Fc
becomes
http://www.youtube.com/v/VJR4pja78Fc
which gives us
[flash=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/v/VJR4pja78Fc[/flash]the second kind of URL can also be extracted from the embed text field
on the youtube web page the former displays, or via the menu button on the youtube player
and now for the video
http://www.youtube.com/v/VJR4pja78Fcother sites use other text formats, but you can usually get the embed URL from the video's web page
i wish that this stuff was easier
i also wish that i was a better tech writer
