AFP/Dresden Dolls/JAArgument photo craft
« on: August 27, 2011, 03:12:03 PM »

Hello all! Just wanted to share three frames I made out of love for Amanda Palmer and The Dresden Dolls! I'm also a big fan of the Jane Austen Argument, so I included a photo of them as well. First I had some of my fave pics printed out at Wal-Mart (illegal yes, but done out of love)! Then I bought three canvases from the dollar store, painted them, and attached the photos using spray adhesive. After the glue dried, I added little embroidery stitches around the photos and to the canvas - it's not very visible in the pics though. Finally, I painted around the edges of the frame with super-sparkly red glitter paint to make it more cabaret-ey. I love how these turned out and I'll definitely be making some more of these! Thanks for checking it out!

~Jess

Let's try this again...

Update: I thought the blue frame with the heart was a little boring, so today I turned the striped heart into The Dredsen Dolls heart/plane/pen/arrow image. Much happier with it now - enjoy!

Are these pictures showing up for anybody? Never posted before so I'm not sure how to insert pictures. Cheers,

~Jess

The web addresses are wrong.

You need the whole address http://hostnames.domainname/filename

why don't you post one of the web address strings inside a

pair (click the '#' icon), and
we'll see if we can help ...[/code]

Hi

I didn't realize it was using web addresses, I was trying to attach photos directly from my photo library. Do the pictures need to already be online for me to link to them? If that's the case, could I just import them to Facebook and then use them from there?

easier to use a site like imageshack.us to upload em to.... then post them..but yes the interweb cannot simply access your drive any time someone wants to look at a picture

Hi ~Jess

really nice art ! ! !

I fixed your first post in this thread,
so the images display in that post.
(Only moderators can edit other's posts, and I do it only when I think its helpful.)

the URL (aka http:// web address) of an image is different from
the URL of the page it's on.

in most browsers, if you left click on the image,
a menu appears, and one of the menu items
copies the image URL (aka address),
so you can then paste it.
