Yes.

I know being snarky is kinda of well, your thing now (well, always), but there were some moving moments at the shows I went to - mainly the song about Judy Blume, the different Velvet Underground covers each night, the warmth that both Amanda and Neil elicited on stage together to each other and to the crowd. I don't know how this recording measures up the shows themselves yet, but they were solid performances, with a set mixed of old and new material, and both Amanda and Neil sang.

LOL if you can believe it, i for once actually did not mean that at all the way it sounded. "interesting" probably would have been a more appropriate word choice. i've come to terms with things, as a matter of fact.  angel

Listening to this is almost bringing me to tears. Very warm and fuzzy though slightly creepy and funny. It's like being wrapped in a musical blanket, sitting around the fire with old friends.

I did not get in on the kickstarter :-(  Is there any way I can get the tracks/CDs? Sometime, somewhere?

Thanks!

I know what you mean.
I'm sitting here listening, and looking like a fool because I keep smiling and giggling along with everything.
It's almost like they're just chilling in my lounge with these two playing together.

Hi Mousie…

Very sorry that you missed out on this Kickstarter in September/October, but truth be told we are going to be keeping the rewards pretty confined to those who donated. We do have plans to release some of it in some capacity - maybe with some physical product that has yet to be determined - later in the year…but for now, it's staying the way it is.

That said:
• We will be launching a new project in about two week's time for Amanda's new album with her band, The Grand Theft Orchestra. Stay tuned for that, and be sure to sign up for the mailing list: http://bit.ly/AFPemail
• There are a few (very limited) pieces of merch from "An Evening With" which are available (while they last) at http://bit.ly/AFPstore - AND, we actually have a promo code which is valid for the rest of the week only………use "tomato" on checkout, and get $20 off any order over $75!

Again, thank you so much for writing us, and hopefully when the time comes you'll get in on AFP's new record and "Evening With 2.0"…

Will I be shunned for giving people a heads up that the album is available on file hosting sites if you do some (not too intense) googling...?

Anyway, I have a somewhat split opinion on the album; the tracks themselves are absolutely wonderful, I was brought to tears on 3 occasions. However, I am a little sad about the order of tracks. I am in England, so didn't see any shows, so I don't know how the actual shows went, but I wasn't really a fan of having all the 'joint' efforts, followed by all the Amanda songs, followed by all the Neil readings. It would have been nice to have things mixed up and have a varied album, rather than listening to an hour of Amanda and Neil, then listening to an hour of Amanda, then listening to an hour of Neil.

That is, of course, easily adjusted by just putting the album on shuffle, and then I am once again in love with it <3

A quick question though: is the last track on the album (ukulele anthem) a second live recording? the aforementioned download doesn't include that one track, just wondering whether I'm missing out on anything good?
