Is it true?

Is it true that one may not say, "Mockery is full of shit." in here?

I have seen no specific rule to that effect, but take a step back and consider the question?

Unless I missed a major editorial announcement, you're free to disagree with anyone here about
whatever he or she might say.... but for some reason, you're looking for an opportunity to bash
Mockery, completely unrelated to any specific thing she might have said?

If she were deliberately trolling, and I don't think she is, there might be some excuse, but it's
entirely possible to disagree with what someone says without resorting to name-calling and
personal attacks.

Note that administrators and team d.dolls get to make decisions about bans,
not moderators like Cee and I.

It's in bad taste.

And has been part of the set of behaviors of the few people who have been banned here.

But by itself, what Cee said.

One thing you might think about when you dislike a person here,
is whether their could be a reason why they are acting in a way you don't like.
E.g. pre-teen, frustrated teen, clinically depressed, ADHD, husband beats them, etc.

It could also be a cultural difference.  This forum's members are very diverse.

I personally hold nothing against Mockery, nor did I wish to make such a declaration.

It was a simple query based upon a statement I read elsewhere.

Just wanted some clarification.

Thanks

You could have queried

"Is it OK to call a Member a piece of shit?"

or

"Is it OK to call SpamBot a piece of shit?"

You have the answer to the first.

The answer to the second is:
ONLY IF you're sure it's a SpamBot.

This is the sbox, n00bies are often beyond
even our experience. ; - }

Note that the four of us who currently delete SpamBots,
are very careful about this, and we have full access to all
available info about users, either individually blocked, or
blocked to normal users.
yes, cheddar, we know who you are
Usually the edge cases end up being SpamBots, but not always.

But, what I read elsewhere was a specific statement which required a specific question and answer.

Also, I would never think to call anyone or anything a piece of shit...except, of course, a piece of shit.  In which case, I would certainly not need to ask anyone here whether I may do so as the answer is quite clearly, "yes."

Thank you for your help.  I am satisfied with the answer I received.

Lets put it on another perspective:
Is it true that one may not say, "Cheddars Cousin is full of shit." in here?

I don't think you are, but someone could make the same question you made about Mockery. And I think this person would get the same answer you did.

Well when SpamBots are actually pieces of shit,
we'll be in real trouble.

You're most welcome.

Yes, the answer would be the same.

I think we all understand now,
that such questions should be asked about
a hypothetical member.

This reminds me of Animal Farm, to paraphrase - "All animals are created equal, except some are more equal than others" - this does not apply here.

Cool.  You found the "Rick Perry always looks like he has to take a dump" emoticon.
