We really do not need to pay for more art history degrees.  I realize I may start a fight saying that on a board of artists but it's still true.

There's a joke about the Jiffy Lube in Boulder being the most degreed Jiffy Lube in the country. Oh, most of the degrees they hold? Art history.

gah these things stress me out.

"show me what democracy looks like"
a mob blocking streets apparently.
Democracy = one man one vote in my opinion not flaming torch marches.
Don't like Capitalism? Fuck off to a Communist country and lets see how you get on.  :)
It will always be.

I am you, you are me
check out our Naievity.

Bet half of them own iPads/Iphones.

I wonder how the blocking of the main roads affected the emergency services...

to the student...
Everywhere pays for uni/college. Want it free, be a damn good student get a scholarship or something.
Is life really that bad in the US?

Yeah...

If they really are the 99% as they claim, they can just go home and rest for 12 1/2 months and change this all with a vote.

We've lasted this long, I'm sure another year won't hurt too bad.

There was a joke about Columbia Missouri (where I went to college) that the guy flipping your burger probably has a doctorate.

University is free in Scotland isn't it?

For the scottish, and apparently to other EU members as well... Not for the english, though it is cheaper than english universities.

Wait...  It's free for Scots-persons.... and people from an ENTIRELY different country...
...but students from elsewhere in the UK still have to pay?  That's messed up.

indeed tis basically a case of the English government refusing to toe the line on education in the rest of europe and thus if you happen to be from england you pay extortionate amounts for the same education that everyone else gets.....Obviously making education unaffordable for the masses is a great way to ensure future growth of the nation.....

this is as close to the core reason (maybe "drive" is a better word) behind the movement in the US as I've seen anyone put forward:
