Hi guys, i live in the very central region of Turkey. Yet the earthquake has happened in the Eastern Anatolian region which is quite far away from where i live in. Though i felt a very little shake, no building around here has collapsed. Yet  of course i'm so sorry for the people who experienced it, apparently it was a very big one (6.6 or 7.2 with Richter scale) i keep watching the news and each death news breaks my heart.

Thanks for sympathy, i really do understand this forum is quite like a big family.

Thanks again Len, everyone i know is also OK.

As far as i can see the case is very bad. It's been a very big earthquake and many buildings there have collapsed. Now they say around 1000 people have died, i guess the loss of lives may rise up to 3000-5000 people  :-\

History repeats itself. Does this remind you of another country that fell into zealots' trap while trying to get rid of a tyrant?

I guess it's because there are some external manipulations in such cases.
I remember Saddam offered Opec countries to demand gold againist oil, just like what Gaddafi did. And though Gaddafi has been cruel to the opponent groups, he also used to be very though in foreign relations and he managed to govern his economy with zero external debts. Being so stubborn about his demands in export-import and foreign policies, he needed to get knocked down.

Sharia causes lots and lots of internal problems, look at Iran, they hardly can find time to carry on healthy external relation policies. Democracy is harder to manipulate, therefore i guess some oil importing countries exhorted Jelil to declare Sharia instead of democracy.

Don't get me wrong, i don't and will never like Gaddafi. But i think it's mostly about give & take.
