I'm going to wear a tailcoat, and my black white and red bustle skirt, and some kind of ridonkulous makeup and hairstyle. And comfy shoes.
So, New Year's Baby, doesn't (sadly) involve any cannibalism..
Here's what the Oracle of the Internet told me:
Father Time and the New Years Baby-Many New Year's decorations feature Father Time and the New Year's Baby. The old year is represented by Father Time, a bearded old man with a walking stick, who caries an hour glass to symbolize the movement of time. Father Time has roots in the Greek go Chronos, as well as the Grim Reaper. The new year's baby traces its ancestry to the ancient Greeks and Egyptians, who regarded the baby as a symbol of rebirth. The image of a baby with a New Year banner was brought to America by German immigrants. So, the old year hands over its responsibility to the new year, a time of rebirth and new chances.
Looks like I will bring my hourglass as well as the baby!

And I'll make her a banner!
Astrid has already partied at Revolt.. the day we both got out of hospital after her birth I got a call from a friend of mine who was running an event there, desparate because his DJ bailed at the last minute, so I went there and DJ'd the party, with baby in tow! She wore earmuffs and had a lovely time

Drunken louts kept lurching up to the DJ booth and saying "IS THAT A REAL BABY?!". At one point I was breastfeeding AND mixing tracks at the same time. A party to remember..
I'm sure it will pale into insigificance beside this NYE extravaganza though, I am so looking forward to it
