Apologies for being photoly challenged - I've tried following the directions for flickr, but this is the best I can get. Am possibly missing something glaringly obvious

Anyway - here are some of last night's postering efforts in Wellington
[pictures]
Is that about what you were going for?
Yes! Thank you! What am I doing wrong?  O0
Well, I don't use flickr, so I don't know how much of the problem is them telling you the wrong thing
with regards to linking to your images, but essentially what you want is just the [img][/img] tags
wrapped around the "direct link" to your picture (the one that begins http:// and ends with .jpg

This post has a list of some of the suffixes that work and some that don't.
http://www.theshadowbox.net/forum/index.php?topic=394.msg7862#msg7862
is in a thread about posting pictures,
and has a link to at least two of the other threads that discusses how to post pictures.

The prefix https:// should work,
and the prefix ftp:// might work
with any of these suffixes.

There may be other prefixes that work
with any of these suffixes.

These prefixes indicate what Internet protocol to
use to transfer the data.

I'm Stuart Baker, I've been doing some street-teaming in Wellington. I thought I'd upload the evidence I've got so far today in case I don't have time before 5:30 - I've printed off a bunch of fliers and I'm going to try busking some Dresden Dolls whilst a friend hands them out, as well as a bar crawl handing them out today/this evening.
I took some screencaps of the online stuff I posted, and some photos of some of the posters we put up. My printer decided they should be pink and red for the most part, but they actually stand out really well against the old posters we were covering over!

I probably won't get back in time with evidence of the busking/bar crawling, but I've printed off a ton of fliers and I'm definately going to get rid of them today! I'm going to post in the facebook group now to see if anyone else is doing stuff today and wants to meet up

Not sure if I've posted this here or not, but here's a blog I wrote with some DD promotion. I'm quite proud of myself managing to get the Dolls into a blog about sailing!

Reality and punk cabaret - Which way is Starboard again?

http://seamunchkin.wordpress.com/2012/01/25/reality-and-punk-cabaret/

Also, thanks heaps everyone for the photo advice. Flickr is a pain in the butt because the direct links don't end in jpg etc. Then I found a tab that said "get bb code" and pasted it in and it worked perfectly. Of course now flickr seems to have crashed completely. Perhaps it's time to start looking for another photo programme...

Stuart from Wellington again. Got rid of some fliers (I think I printed 20-30 pages with four on a page, so about a hundred walking around Wellington (Up and down Cuba, Occupy, Civic Square, etc) whilst my flatmate followed me playing Amanda Palmer and Dresden Dolls on the Ukulele. Chucked a few outside a bar that has gig guides on a stand, so people going to see what gigs are on this weekend see the Doll's advert first. Wish I'd got some video of her playing, but I got a couple of photos to prove we went out.

Awesome! If anyone in town doesn't know about the gig now they must have their eyes and ears closed!  O0

So the tour is now over and I just wanted to thank everyone who got involved with the street team once again! You are all awesome!

We had teams in every city except Brisbane, (what's up with that Brisvegas???) some were big, some were small but you all did a great job and I hope you enjoyed getting involved. I hope you've all made a few more friends along the way as well. We all know this community is a great community to be a part of so keep in touch with each other. I met some of my best friends at Amanda Palmer shows and that list of people grows every year, every time she has come back so it was amazing to get to share the experience of a Dresden Dolls concert with them!  :headbang:

Once again... THANK YOU! O0 :love5: :love5: :love5:
