Help me run away with the circus? To Seattle?
« on: March 16, 2008, 06:17:26 PM »

I got a job with Cirque du Soleil (not as a performer, but it's still excellent) and I want to travel with them.  The next stop is Seattle.
So the question is: does anyone have a couch/floor that's begging for an artist to crash on it?  Or know of anyone who does?  Even for a week, or a night.
I'm totally excited about this idea, and if it works out... it'd be so great.  It would be from April 17th to May 18th, give or take a day.

I'm nice, I can pay you and I bake yummy cookies.  Win/win situation, right?

If I lived in Seattle, yes you may cook me yummy cookies. As long as they don't have nuts in them, I don't like nuts in cookies, but white chocolate is the bomb.

I remember Cirque du Soleil before the were world wide famous. Those were the days.

I could bake you nut-less white chocolate cookies and mail them to you.
But they certainly wouldn't be oven-fresh.  And probably more than a little crumbly.

Thanks!  Of course there's a website for this kind of thing.  The internet is way too convenient to not connect people traveling.

That's excellent!
This has been working out so well.  I stayed at a hostel for a while, and then planned to stay with this guy for a couple nights and he invited me to stay for the rest of the time because we really connected and it's been a blast.  He's hosted me for almost a month now with no financial incentive. This kind of thing really enforces my faith in humanity...  We are two entirely different people -different interests, different backgrounds, everything- yet through some incredible generosity and willingness to learn this has been one of the most rewarding experienced I've had.
Plus I'm working for the circus.

So... this pretty much rocks.

I remember when the performance stopped by Seattle. I didn't get to see it, since I saw O in Las Vegas. Hope your trip was a good one :B angel
